You may cancel your annual licence at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current licence year — you retain full access until then.
Annual licences are non-refundable once the licence year has begun. If you cancel mid-year, access continues until the end of the paid period and no partial refund is issued.
Credit top-ups are non-refundable once purchased. Credits do not expire and can be used at any time.
If credits were not delivered due to a technical error on our part, please contact us and we will investigate and remedy the situation.
We will consider refund requests in the following circumstances:
To request a refund under these circumstances, contact us within 14 days of the charge at hello@sciencesplained.com with your account email and a description of the issue.
If you are a consumer (not purchasing on behalf of a business) based in the EU or UK, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of purchase. However, by using the service immediately upon purchase you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may no longer apply once the service has been performed.
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
